Las series infantiles producidas por el Consejo Nacional de Televisión (CNTV) en Chile estarán disponibles ahora para millones de niños, docentes y familias de otros seis países de América Latina, a partir de un acuerdo con la Fundación Norma y Leo Werthein, encargada de las acciones de sostenibilidad de DIRECTV y de SKY Brasil.
Esta alianza estratégica permitirá ampliar el alcance de los contenidos originales de CNTV como Pichintún Latinoamérica y Faunabulozoo, porque esas producciones se sumarán a la grilla de programación de Escuela Plus, la única señal de edutainment regional reconocida por su experiencia multiplataforma y sus contenidos para las comunidades educativas.
Las series infantiles de CNTV se transmitirán no sólo en Chile sino también en Argentina, Uruguay, Perú, Ecuador y Colombia, a través de DIRECTV. En tanto, en Brasil se podrán ver en la grilla de SKY.
Children’s series produced by the National Television Council (CNTV) in Chile will now be available to millions of children, teachers and families in six other Latin American countries, based on an agreement with Fundación Norma and Leo Werthein, in charge of sustainability actions for DIRECTV and SKY Brazil.
This strategic alliance will expand the reach of CNTV’s original content such as Pichintún Latinoamérica and Faunabulozoo, because these productions will be added to the programming grid of Escuela Plus, the only regional edutainment signal recognized for its multiplatform experience and its content for educational communities.
CNTV’s children’s series will be broadcast not only in Chile but also in Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, through DIRECTV. In Brazil, they will be broadcast on SKY.
El acuerdo contempla que CNTV incluirá programación de Escuela Plus en su oferta de contenidos y tiene como objetivo impulsar el desarrollo integral de niños y niñas de Chile y de Latinoamérica, a través de programación infantil de calidad y pluralista en televisión abierta, así como también promover la educación mediante el entretenimiento.
El presidente de CNTV, Mauricio Muñoz, formalizó la alianza con el country manager de DIRECTV Chile, Manuk Masseredjian, quien suscribió en representación de la Fundación Norma y Leo Werthein.
“Esta alianza es un hito relevante para CNTV infantil que permitirá abrir nuevas ventanas de exhibición y llegar a audiencias infantiles de la región posicionando a nuestro país como generador de contenidos audiovisuales de calidad, educativos y atractivos para niños y niñas. A la vez, es muy beneficioso para nosotros porque CNTV infantil podrá nutrir su pantalla con nuevos contenidos”, comentó Muñoz.
The agreement contemplates that CNTV will include Escuela Plus programming in its content offer and aims to promote the integral development of children in Chile and Latin America, through quality and pluralistic children’s programming on free-to-air television, as well as to promote education through entertainment.

“This alliance is an important milestone for CNTV for children, which will allow us to open new exhibition windows and reach children’s audiences in the region, positioning our country as a generator of quality, educational and attractive audiovisual content for boys and girls. At the same time, it is very beneficial for us because CNTV infantil will be able to nurture its screen with new content”, commented Muñoz.
Durante la firma del convenio, Masseredjian destacó la decisión del CNTV de exportar contenidos infantiles de Chile a la región, así como también resaltó su impulso a “iniciativas que van en línea con los cambios tecnológicos y socio-culturales actuales, tales como la reciente modificación del horario de protección al menor y la visibilización de las asimetrías regulatorias existentes entre operadores de TV paga y plataformas de streaming, en lo que refiere a programación infantil y general”.
“Escuela Plus, nuestro cluster regional de edutainment, tiene como objetivo la inclusión digital, para acortar cada día más la brecha que actualmente afecta la vida de millones de niños en América Latina. Promovemos una educación sostenible, creativa, inclusiva y gratuita. Y celebramos que un organismo público como la CNTV haya decidido sumar estos contenidos. La articulación público-privada es fundamental para reducir la brecha digital”, dijo Álvaro Rufiner, director de la Fundación Norma y Leo Werthein.
DIRECTV ofrecerá a sus suscriptores de TV satelital en Chile y la región series infantiles originales de CNTV en los canales 804 / 1804 y 302/1302. CNTV, por su parte, podrá distribuir en 2025 cuatro series infantiles originales de Escuela Plus a través de sus diversos canales de difusión.
During the signing of the agreement, Masseredjian highlighted the CNTV’s decision to export children’s content from Chile to the region, as well as its promotion of “initiatives that are in line with current technological and socio-cultural changes, such as the recent modification of the child protection schedule and the visibility of existing regulatory asymmetries between pay TV operators and streaming platforms, in terms of children’s and general programming”.
“Escuela Plus, our regional edutainment cluster, aims at digital inclusion, to increasingly bridge the gap that currently affects the lives of millions of children in Latin America. We promote sustainable, creative, inclusive and free education. And we celebrate that a public organization such as CNTV has decided to add these contents. The public-private articulation is fundamental to reduce the digital gap,” said Álvaro Rufiner, director of the Norma and Leo Werthein Foundation.
DIRECTV will offer its satellite TV subscribers in Chile and the region original CNTV children’s series on channels 804/1804 and 302/1302. In 2025, CNTV will be able to distribute four original Escuela Plus children’s series through its various broadcast channels.
